Some couples come to me because they didn't get the wedding they wanted the first time. Cost. Covid. Family who couldn't be there. A registry office on a Tuesday lunchtime that did the job but didn't quite tell the story.
Others come because the story has grown. Twenty, thirty, forty years in. Children. Grandchildren. The full quiet weather of a long marriage. They want to stand in front of the people they love and say it again, on purpose. And celebrate their past, present and future together.

How a Renewal Ceremony Comes Together.

We Talk
A free, no-obligation conversation. I learn how you met, what you've been through, who you've become. You decide whether I feel like the right person to tell that story.

Booking
A 25% non-refundable deposit secures your date. You complete the couple's questionnaire and we start building. A further 25% is due six months out, with the balance two months before the renewal.

Writing your Ceremony
This is where renewals get really good. There's so much more to draw on than at a first wedding. I'll weave in the years, the laughter, the hard parts, the children if you have them, the in-jokes only you know.

The Day
I arrive an hour ahead, coordinate with your venue and suppliers, welcome your guests, and we begin. Same warmth as a wedding. Often a few more tears.
Touches That Suit a Renewal.
Some of my favourite ritual moments in renewals:
- A sand ceremony with a third colour added for children or grandchildren
- A handfasting with a cord that includes a strand from your original wedding
- A wine box and love letter sealed for a future milestone
- An olive branch ritual, connecting you to the island that’s become part of your love story.
